Bill Graham

President & Chief Executive Officer, Director

Bill Graham is the President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Rifco. He also co-founded the Company and served as COO up to June 2004 when he took on his current role. He has over 10 years experience in finance, sales, marketing, and teaching. He is also the former President of Proven Leasing Corporation. Prior to Rifco, he spent 3 years as a Business Management consultant specializing in corporate strategies and transitions. In July 2010, Ernst & Young announced that Bill Graham was a finalist for “Entrepreneur of the Year’ in the Professional / Financial Services category for the Prairie Region.

Warren Van Orman

Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Director

Warren Van Orman is the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Rifco.  He joined Rifco in 2017 after an 11-year career in the Alberta Credit Union system, including 7 years as Vice President of Finance for Mountain View Credit Union.  Prior to that he worked in public accounting with KPMG and Deloitte.  He holds a Masters of Accountancy degree and is a CPA-CA.








Doug Decksheimer

Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer

Doug joined Rifco in April 2005. He brings over ten years of experience in senior management including expertise in product development, international marketing initiatives, strategic market planning and implementation, reseller training and education programs. Doug is a Certified Sales Professional (CSP) as accredited by the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) Sales Institute.


Roger Saran

Vice President & Chief Credit Officer

Roger has spent the length of his career in Banking and Finance beginning in the mid 1990’s.  His knowledge and expertise spans across many areas such as Risk Management, Credit Scoring, Product Development, Finance and Sales & Marketing.   Roger is experienced working within organizations of varying size, scope and operations including RBC Royal Bank, CIBC, ATB Financial and Patron West.  He holds a Bachelor degrees in Arts and Commerce from the University of Alberta and a MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Jim J. Nieuwenburg

Director – Chairman of the Board of Directors

Mr. Nieuwenburg has been a Partner of Azimuth Capital Partners Ltd., a leading energy private equity firm located in Calgary, since October 2008.  He is a professional engineer by training. Mr. Nieuwenburg has had 36 years of diverse experience including senior technical, business development, and executive management roles.  He was active as a corporate director and a private independent businessman from 2001 to 2008.  He was formerly the President and CEO of Petromet Resources Limited (TSX) from 1998 to 2001. Until 1998 he served as Vice President, Asset Management of Norcen Energy Resources Limited (TSX).  Prior to 1997, he held roles of increasing responsibility over 17 years with the Amoco organization, serving most recently as General Manager, Business Development for Amoco Energy Group, North America.  Mr. Nieuwenburg recently served as Chairman for Capitol Energy Resources Ltd (TSX) and C1 Energy Ltd (TSX). He also acts as a Director of several private companies in the energy business.

Stuart P. Hensman


Mr. Hensman is Chairman of the Board of Governors of CI Funds and a Director of Canacol Energy Ltd., Trident Performance Corp., and Trident Performance Corp II.  He is a former Director of Creststreet Mutual Funds Ltd, Creststreet Power and Income Fund, Ria Resources Corp and Qwest Diversified Capital Corp. Prior to 2003, Mr. Hensman was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. Mr. Hensman was a Managing Director at Scotia Capital Inc. (London) from 1987 to 1999. Prior to this, he held a number of analytical and portfolio management positions at the Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada from 1981 to 1986. Mr. Hensman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Winnipeg and a Masters of Science from the Loughborough University in the United Kingdom.

Bruce D. Ratzlaff

Director – Chairman of the Governance and Compensation Committee

Mr. Ratzlaff is a Corporate Director and Management Consultant. He is currently a Director of FaithLife Financial and a member of its Governance and Risk & Compliance committees. He served as the President and Director of the CBWC Foundation from September 2012 to June 2014. He retired in January 2011 as the President and Chief Executive Officer and Director of Bank West, a position he had held since November 2008. Prior to 2008, he held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Western Life Assurance Company. Both of these companies were subsidiaries of Western Financial Group. Prior to 2005 he held the position of Vice-President of Federated Life Insurance Company in Winnipeg, MB from September of 1993. Mr. Ratzlaff holds a MBA from Athabasca University.

K. Gerry Wagner

Director – Chairman of Audit Committee

Mr. Wagner is a Corporate Director and advisor. He is currently an independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Canadian First Financial Group Inc., a private company. He is also a Managing Director of BNK Advisory Ltd., a consultancy to the financial services industry, since 1997. He was a Director of CFF Bank from 2011 to 2015, where he also held executive positions including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer. Prior to CFF Bank, he was a Director and Chief Financial Officer of ResMor Trust Company and the founding Vice President of Finance of its predecessor, Bridgewater Bank. Gerry Wagner is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years’ experience and holds the Institute of Corporate Directors designation ICD.D. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University.

Lance Kadatz

Mr. Kadatz is a co-founder of Rifco Inc and was the Vice-President and CFO since the inception of the Company until his retirement in January 2017. He was the President of his own Business Advisory Services firm before joining Rifco. He also served as a Finance Advisory Services Manager for MNP for 2 years, and a Sr. Corporate Account Manager for RBC for 17 years. Lance Kadatz was a finalist for the “Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2010” award.
